I am a Licensed psychologist and my mission in life is to help people on their journey and to help them to overcome any trauma, set back or challenges that they have. I truly believe that people are the experts of their own lives and I work from a strengths based and solution focused approach to help my clients to work towards their goals.
My therapeutic style is authentic, warm, and down-to-earth and I believe in creating a safe space for everyone. I use an eclectic approach with my clients but I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and so I tend to utilize this approach along with other therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing and adjust as needed.
I understand both professionally and personally how scary it can be to seek out professional help. But I also know how life changing it can be. Getting therapy is a courageous step but I have faith that together we can work to help you to meet your goals and live a meaningful and wholesome life.
Whether it took a few days or a few years for you to take this big step in starting your therapeutic journey, celebrate that you’ve made it and it’s only up from here! Let’s be real, life can be smooth sailing some days but a wreck on others. The important part is knowing, those not so good days or moments, do not last forever and do not define your forever. We all have exactly what we need within us, just need a little help recognizing what those things are.
